Gymnasiet Grankulla samskola (GGs) is a co-educational upper secondary school that has got about 300 students and about 25 teachers. The language of instruction is Swedish and the school prepares the students for the matriculation exam, which is the final exam before you graduate from upper secondary school and can move on to further studies at a university, for example.

GGs is located in Kauniainen (in Swedish Grankulla), which is a small town about 15 km outside the capital city of Helsinki. From Helsinki you can easily get to the school by train or bus.

The school year at GGs starts in mid-August and is divided into five terms of roughly seven weeks each. The lessons are 75 minutes long and classes run from 8.15 am to 16 pm. The school complex consists of two buildings. The original school building, which is now a part of the town's youth club, was built in 1909. The building that we use now is comprised of parts built in the 50s, 60s and 70s. It has recently been renovated and is well equipped with the latest technology for teaching. Under the same roof there is also the Swedish-speaking upper level comprehensive school of Kauniainen.

Gymnasiet Grankulla samskola is in many ways internationally orientated and takes part in several international projects. GGs is one of five schools in Finland that participate in Modern European Parliament which is a youth parliament, where youngsters gather to discuss political, economic and social issues within the European Union.
